Allgäuer Berghof trains cooks in a family-run 4-star superior hotel in the Allgäu. The three-year apprenticeship covers hot and cold kitchen, cooking techniques, buffet presentation, HACCP as well as insights into purchasing, costing and service. Training starts at the beginning of August each year; vocational school is the Staatliches Berufsschulzentrum Immenstadt. Applicants should bring a secondary school leaving certificate (mittlere Reife) or a qualified Mittelschule certificate, enjoyment of cooking and teamwork, and pleasure in dealing with children and parents. Applications with a cover letter and school reports are aimed at young talents who want to start in the kitchen team of Allgäuer Berghof.
